The moment we arrived at Pylewell, we instantly knew it was where we were going to get married. There is so much character, beauty, and intimacy to the venue. It feels magical whilst still feeling warm and personal. We always knew we wanted a venue that felt like a home to us and somewhere our family could all stay together for the weekend. Pylewell ticked every single box.
The drive to the estate is just beautiful. So many of our guests said it felt as though they had gone abroad for the weekend because of how stunning the location is. The view of the ocean from the ceremony site is absolutely breathtaking, and every time we walked around the grounds we kept discovering another beautiful hidden spot. We were lucky enough to have the most gorgeous sunny day, but it was really important to us to have an equally beautiful Plan B if the weather did not hold up, and wow, the drawing room is gorgeous!!
We also loved how the whole venue can be completely tailored to you as a couple. You can decorate it however you want and make it your own. That is the wonderful part of Pylewell. It is a blank canvas whilst already being stunning in itself. Your wedding should feel like you as a couple, and Pylewell gives the gift of making it fully bespoke.
But more importantly, we remember speaking to our families after booking Pylewell and saying, “Honestly, it was how wonderful the team were that solidified our decision.” We could completely be ourselves, and absolutely nothing ever felt like too much to ask. That feeling carried all the way through from the beginning of the planning process to even after the wedding itself. They truly are phenomenal.
TELL US ABOUT THE MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
The whole weekend was just a dream! It is incredibly hard to pick just one moment. But we both said “the ceremony” at the same time when we were thinking back to the most magical part of the day.
We made it completely our own. The person who introduced us officiated the wedding, two wonderfully special people in our lives read poems, and we included the Celtic tradition of handfasting to honour the Irish roots. One of the most meaningful parts for both of us was reading our own personal vows. It all felt so personal and reflective of who we are together as a couple.
Standing there with the sea in the background, the sunshine on us, and everyone we love witnessing the beginning of this next chapter of our lives is a feeling nothing could ever top. It was pure magic and a moment neither of us will ever forget!
TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
The Pavilion is so beautiful that you really do not need to do much to emphasise its beauty. But being able to create anything you want is every bride’s dream.
We knew we wanted a timeless, elegant “family dinner” feel for our wedding breakfast. The draping by Drap.d flowing from the ceiling to the floor made the space feel so warm and cosy, while the simplicity of the flowers lining the tables, mixed with candlelight by the extraordinary Bemoreflori, created the most dreamiest atmosphere. The Little Kitchen Company helped beautifully with colour coordination and table décor to match everything seamlessly. My mum had also surprised us with the most beautiful cake by Karen Cake Couture, which the wonderful Pylewell team helped organise. Our stationery by SmittenWithInk had a simple, classic feel, and one of our most special touches was writing personal letters to each guest, which became our table plan. That was a moment so special because every guest came up to us after and thanked us.
Everything just tied together so beautifully. Walking into the Pavilion and seeing the vision and dream come to life is a feeling we will never forget. It was beyond anything we could ever have imagined.

The whole planning process felt so easy because of Mel, Nicole, and Casey. As soon as we booked the venue, we had a meeting and discussed all things wedding. The number of recommendations and trusted suppliers they have on hand is just incredible. They even coordinated with my mum (mother of the bride) to help organise our cake and flowers in the bridal suite as a surprise!
Then, during our beautiful wedding weekend, you made all of our guests staying in the house feel so genuinely cared for. That meant everything to us. From the stunningly cooked breakfasts each morning, to Annalisa helping steam my veil, measuring out chairs for the ceremony, assisting with set-up we wanted, making sure everyone had eaten, and the wonderful night team ensuring everyone got home safely! Every single detail was handled with so much care.
You are all nothing short of incredible. The kindest people that helped bring so much warmth and love into our magical weekend! We wish we could express the depth of gratitude we feel for every single one of you.
WHATS YOUR TOP TIP FOR ANY FUTURE PYLEWELL COUPLE?
The weekend and wedding day go by so incredibly fast, so our biggest piece of advice would be to truly soak in every moment, let yourself feel every emotion during the planning process and on the day. Create a day that is authentically you and what you both love and envision. The Pylewell team are with you every step of the way. Trust the team completely. Trust in their suppliers, trust in their experience, and trust that they genuinely have your back from start to finish.
We did not have a wedding planner, and there was never a single moment where we felt like we needed one. The Pylewell team go so far out of their way for both you and your guests, and there is honestly nothing they would not do for you. They make you feel so special and so looked after throughout the entire journey.
We loved every second so much that we would do anything to relive it all over again. We already know we will be back for anniversaries because Pylewell is one of those places you can never not be drawn back to.
