We always envisioned a marquee-style wedding at home, but when we realized we both wanted a winter wedding, the logistics became tricky. Pylewell Park was the perfect solution. The house is stunning, with its cozy drawing room and roaring log fires, and the Pavilion gave us that marquee feel we dreamed of, with the added comforts of heating and built-in facilities. It was the best of both worlds.
From the moment we visited, we knew Pylewell was the right choice. The team’s warm welcome, “can-do” attitude, and calm professionalism put us at ease immediately. We felt confident we were in the best possible hands.

- TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
It’s so hard to pick just one because the entire weekend was unforgettable! The atmosphere of having everyone together in the house was incredible, and the little moments, like breakfast in bed on my wedding morning, made it so special.
We filled the day with amazing music, starting with Fully Funktional in the church, a saxophonist on the steps, a trio during the reception, and their fantastic party band in the evening. We also included meaningful touches to reflect our story. Since we met in Hong Kong, we incorporated a traditional lion dance for good luck, which was a huge hit and fireworks to kick start the party. The MCs surprised everyone with a brilliant performance, and during dinner, our 12-table rendition of the “12 Days of Christmas” was more fun than we could have imagined!
The dance floor stayed packed all night, but it wasn’t just the big moments that stood out. Aby and her team were phenomenal, handling everything so seamlessly and discreetly. They anticipated every need, making the day stress-free and extraordinary. Their care and attention truly elevated our entire experience. Our day was made amazing for so many reasons but one of the biggest of these was Aby and her team!
- TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
Our vision was a winter wonderland — cozy, romantic, and full of candles — with a nod to our Asian roots. It was beyond what we had hoped for! Sarah and her team at Nudo absolutely nailed the styling and florals. From the gorgeous bouquets to mistletoe pew ends, a Nutcracker-themed table plan, and Chinese lantern bars, every detail was perfect.
Having the Pavilion meant we didn’t have to worry about heating, generators, or bathrooms like we might have with a garden marquee. It allowed us to fully enjoy the day without a second thought about logistics.

The little touches made all the difference—the stunning dining room, perfectly timed coordination, precise fireworks, and even thoughtful details like the “Mr. & Mrs.” mugs on our breakfast tray. From keeping the fires going to preparing delicious breakfasts and transitioning everything to the Pavilion, your team handled it all with care and expertise.
Pylewell’s beauty and charm set the perfect stage for the weekend. The house, grounds, log fires, and spectacular Christmas tree created an enchanting atmosphere, with sunshine for our church ceremony and calm weather for sparklers and fireworks.
Our guests were full of praise, from the lion dance to the fireworks and the band. The freedom to shape the weekend as we envisioned, with your guidance, made everything stress-free and deeply enjoyable.
Having the house from Friday to Sunday was a dream, giving us time to savor every moment with our loved ones—mimosas, seaside strolls, and exploring the park all made it unforgettable.
Pylewell is extraordinary, but it’s the amazing team that makes it truly special. We’re forever grateful for everything you did to make our wedding a celebration we’ll treasure always.
