WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PYLEWELL?
Pylewell speaks for itself! It is an overwhelmingly stunning venue, and as soon as we drove up to the front of the house for our first viewing, you could feel its beauty and it just felt right to us, but the reason the location was so important to us is because it is close to where Emma grew up, and Harry also holidayed in the New Forest with his family growing up. So both sides of the family have a very strong love and bond with the area so it just felt right. Also, getting married with the sea in the background was one of Emma’s childhood dreams so the venue ticked this box, too. The wet weather contingency of the venue was perfect, and to have 13 bedrooms to house all the bridal party for the weekend was so special.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
It was a few things that made the day so magical. Having the venue on the Friday night so all our friends & family could be together the night before was very special. The bridal suite providing a gorgeous setting for us girls to get ready in the morning, and the penthouse for the boys made the mornings really fun and at ease for us both. The ceremony was perfect, we used the circle area so we could get married with the Solent in the background.
If we had to pick, our most favourite element of the day was the brass band following us out after the confetti moment playing Crazy In Love, who took everyone over to the reception. They then took the guests after the reception to the Pavilion and we were the first to follow in a conga line – when I walked in, it was the first time I saw my vision of the room come to life and I just burst into tears! Harry & I also had a moment where we took ourselves off the dancefloor and watched as all our friends and family danced and enjoyed in the evening, which was pure happiness. We also had an Espresso Martini tower instead of a cake, which was an amazing part of the day!

TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
Our vision was bright, fun and unique. The flowers chosen and the table favours helped bring that to life – we went bold, big and colourful with gorgeous anthuriums and calla lilies. The vision actually changed so many times as Emma is so fickle, but we knew from the get-go that we wanted long tables with a top table, and we knew that the flowers needed to be big and bold and colourful.
The colour scheme was champagne and pinks with mocha undertones. We bought a pink neon sign with our names as the first element, and we knew we wanted lots of candles and light. Emma is a very visual person so moodboards and table plans helped a lot, but there is a real special moment of seeing your vision you’ve worked so tirelessly on for months come to life with all elements put together, and it did not disappoint!

HAVE YOU GOT ANY FEEDBACK ABOUT THE PYLEWELL TEAM? WE WOULD SO LOVE TO HEAR IT.
We had such an amazing experience with the team. From day 1 they have been so helpful. Planning a wedding is no walk in the park, and we both work on events so should be used to it (!) but the team were so helpful and supportive with all our questions and ideas. Aby and Nicole especially felt like a part of our day and throughout the journey it felt like they were genuinely excited by our ideas and loved working with us too, which speaks much louder than words.
WHAT’S YOUR TOP TIP FOR ANY FUTURE PYLEWELL COUPLE?
Our biggest tip is to put trust in your suppliers. We handed over all trust on the day which helped us relax and enjoy every moment, and every single supplier involved in the day – from the Pylewell team to the photographer to the florist to the band – did not disappoint.
We also told each other our non-negotiables of the day before we started planning and promised each other that we would ensure each would happen. Emma’s was live music throughout the day, Harry’s was a free bar for everyone throughout the day – and we did it. Lastly, it’s hard to do, but make sure to take the time to really consider every element. It goes quickly and now we are left with a blur of love, happiness and magic, but we have some core memories of the day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives!
