We chose Pylewell because, before we even visited, we’d read so many incredible reviews online. Couple after couple spoke so highly of the team, and after our own experience, we completely understand why.
One of the things that made it feel so special was simply getting there. The drive through the New Forest, spotting the ponies, donkeys and cows along the way, immediately made us feel like we’d escaped into the most beautiful part of the British countryside. It’s in such a perfect location and really sets the tone before you even arrive.
The photos looked stunning, but nothing prepared us for seeing it in person. We visited on a beautiful late summer’s day, and from the moment we drove through the gates, we both just looked at each other in complete awe. The gardens, the sea views, the house… it all felt so special. I just had this feeling in my heart that it was the one.
The house itself was also perfect for us. It could accommodate everyone we wanted to stay with us, which made the whole wedding weekend feel even more intimate and relaxed.

How can we possibly choose just one?
If we had to, it would be our ceremony. We had always imagined getting married outside, so naturally we were disappointed when the weather had other plans. But honestly, once we walked into the Drawing Room, none of that mattered. It was so intimate, emotional and romantic, and looking back, we genuinely wouldn’t change a thing.
One of the things we loved most about Pylewell is that there really isn’t a bad option. Whether your ceremony is indoors or outdoors, every space is absolutely beautiful, so you can relax knowing your day will still be incredible.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR VISION FOR THE PAVILION AND STYLING. DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
It exceeded every expectation we had.
There’s actually a video of me seeing the Pavilion for the first time and bursting into tears because it was everything I’d imagined and more. It was honestly breathtaking.
We wanted the space to feel romantic, whimsical and timeless, with lots of soft florals, candlelight and elegant details. The Pavilion is such a beautiful blank canvas that can completely transform into whatever you envision, and seeing it all come together was surreal.
From a practical point of view, it’s also brilliantly designed. The dance floor is close enough to the tables that everyone naturally feels involved in the evening, the outdoor terrace is perfect for guests who want to chat or enjoy the views, and everything just flows so effortlessly. It created such an amazing atmosphere all night long.

The team honestly made the whole experience.
From the moment we met Nicole, we knew we were in safe hands. She was so warm, knowledgeable and genuinely excited for us. No question ever felt too small, and throughout the entire planning process every email was answered so quickly with thoughtful advice and reassurance.
We also loved the Sip & See events. They gave us the opportunity to become familiar with the venue, meet suppliers and get to know the team before the wedding. By the time our day arrived, Pylewell genuinely felt like a second home.
On the day itself, Mel was absolutely incredible. She coordinated everything seamlessly behind the scenes, looked after all of our suppliers and made sure everything ran perfectly, allowing us to completely relax and enjoy every second.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team.

Don’t stress about the weather!
We spent so much time worrying about rain because we’d always pictured an outdoor ceremony, but the truth is Pylewell is one of those rare venues where every single plan is beautiful. Whether you’re inside or outside, your day will still be magical.
One little tip that worked really well for me was keeping the bridal suite completely free the night before. I slept in one of the adjoining bedrooms instead, which meant the suite stayed tidy, spacious and calm on the wedding morning. It gave me somewhere peaceful to step away for a few moments while everyone was getting ready, and it made such a difference.
