WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PYLEWELL?
Pylewell felt special to us immediately because it’s by the sea. We got engaged by the sea, we love being by water and call it our happy place. However, we soon learnt that wasn’t the only special thing this venue had to offer. The decor is perfection, so classic with a modern twists. Their approach to weddings was the best we had heard yet and there is such a unique feel to the place, we knew immediately this was where we wanted to get married.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
Everything about the weekend was perfect, from start to finish. The weather definitely helped make it so memorable, but regardless everything was seamless. One part that stuck out was our our trip to the beach for photos. We snuck out just after dessert was served with the photographer and videographer. It allowed us to have a moment to ourselves, as well as some epic photos during sunset. We would recommend any couple doing this if they can!
TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
We wanted ocean tides with a contemporary art deco feel. How we described the vision to the florist was that we wanted all our guests to feel a sense of calm, like how you feel when watching a sunrise or sunset, and had a theme and colour palette that hopefully represented that.
We really cared about the styling and tried to ensure that everything ‘spoke’ to eachother and there was consistency throughout – from the flowers, the signage, the stationary and beyond.
The space is so versatile in the marquee pavilion area that there is a real opportunity to get creative – we were blown away with how it looked on the day!

We went to see 6 or so venues before coming to Pylewell, but nothing compared. The view, the house, the fact we could have a bespoke 3 day event and one of our favourite things about everything you offered was the TEAM!
You made us feel welcome, comfortable and at ease from the get go. We knew we’d be in safe hands and just loved that you said yes to everything we wanted to do. You have all consistently gone above and beyond from our very first meeting until we checked out.
WHAT’S YOUR TOP TIP FOR ANY FUTURE PYLEWELL COUPLE?
Trust your suppliers. You chose them for a reason and they have your back and want things to go perfectly for you. We were so impressed with every single person we worked with along the way and on the weekend itself and can’t thank them enough for bringing our vision to life. Such a talented bunch!
Also, choose local and independent suppliers when and where you can. From our experience, they helped make everything feel, look and taste more personal 🙂
