  • WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PYLEWELL?

While we are both from London we began our search for wedding venues in Dorset and Hampshire as we both have family connections in the area – we separately had lots of family holidays here growing up and now love spending weekends here. We came across Pylewell and it ticked all the boxes – a gorgeous backdrop of a classic English house with beautiful grounds combined with a more modern and relaxed Pavilion. We loved that we would be able to spend the whole weekend there with our family and bridal party. Plus a lovely country church just up the drive meant we could have the ceremony we were looking for easily accessible for our guests.

An Incredible Celebration

  • TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?

So many moments to pick from! One particularly special moment was our drive back from the Church. It was our first moments married, processing it just the two of us, and we loved seeing Pylewell as we drove up. We were greeted by Aby and Liz from Pylewell and our fantastic caterers with two glasses of champagne – what a moment realising we had become Mr and Mrs and now had an incredible celebration to come.

  • TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?

Having the Pavilion to style was one of the best parts about planning. From pages of Pinterest inspiration and Pylewell’s own Instagram page there was so much you could do with the space. We stuck to our own taste and went for a very neutral soft palette – the bridesmaids were in sage green so we had green incorporated into the water glasses and stationary. Rhiannon at Willow and Wisps was amazing and our flowers were beautiful – natural with greenery, ivory and blush shades. We loved the wow factor of decorating the chandeliers and flower meadows at the end of the tables along with delicate little bud vases on the tables. Rhiannon also repurposed all the flowers from our ceremony and so the Pavilion was full of flowers – stunning! Having long tables rather than round was always key for us, both from a design perspective and also to allow a very social dinner setting which worked perfectly with the caterers delicious sharing platters. We quite last minute added fairy lights from all parties and events, these were magical and really made the room pop!

We did a Pavilion ‘first look’ before our guests entered and this was another favourite part of the day. Seeing all the design elements come together was everything we had dreamed about – so special.

  • HAVE YOU GOT ANY FEEDBACK ABOUT THE PYLEWELL TEAM? WE WOULD SO LOVE TO HEAR IT.

The Pylewell team were absolutely amazing and everyone we met was so friendly and made us feel so special and welcomed. There is so much we could say, the team really went above and beyond.

Particular shout outs to Nicole – who helped us on our show round and venue visits to answer all our questions. And then also to Aby who ran the day and was so on top of everything!! We felt so taken care of by the team and reassured about any wedding worries! By Friday afternoon we were able to completely relax and enjoy our wedding celebrations as Aby was always one step ahead and made us feel completely at ease!

WHAT’S YOUR TOP TIP FOR ANY FUTURE PYLEWELL COUPLE?

Definitely make the most of chatting through your vision with the Pylewell team – they have so many great suggestions but also go above and beyond to make your day personal to you and exactly how you envisage. For instance we wanted some live music during our drinks reception and Aby suggested Bella River – we didn’t need to look any further and booked them instantly. Aby, Nicole, Mel and team give such attention to detail and have such a fabulous list of trusted suppliers, you really are in the best hands!

Having the venue for two nights is incredibly special. Our other tip is to make the most of the night before and morning after, these are again some of our favourite memories and we felt so lucky to have extended celebrations.
