Summer

June to September are some of our most popular months and it’s no surprise that couples love to utilise the masses of outside space we are lucky to be able to share with you.

Exclusivity is one of the many perks that our venue boasts and we give all our brides-to-be access from 10:00am the day before for suppliers to set up and start creating your perfect day. We have a large South Park behind the balustrade comprising of 62 acres; perfect for car parking and setting up camping or glamping villages for your guests. Guests will arrive through the park and capture their first glimpse of the sea glistening through the trees. The house gardens are perfect for drinks, lawn games and crazy golf (last year we even had dodgems and a carousel!) and should you wish to make an entrance arriving by private plane or helicopter, we have the space for you to do so.

Our balustrade bar is a beautiful wooden structure that wraps around a Maple tree providing shade for long summer afternoons and can be stocked with your own drinks of choice. A spot of Pimm’s or chilled champagne always goes down a treat!

Generally our couples prefer to get married outside in the summer and our beautiful sail structure is waterproof and also great for providing shade for up to 150 guests. You will still have the option of the house should the good old British weather not cooperate.

Post-wedding breakfast, why not hop in the car with your photographer and get some snaps on our private access beach or take a stroll down the South Park in the golden light as the sun sets? We love recommending our old Victorian greenhouses for a quirky photo spot and there is more time to explore with long summer evenings.

Our pavilion is a striking bold colour and we are yet to find a colour palette that doesn’t work in the space. We are big fans of using flowers when they’re naturally in bloom or locally grown as it makes them a more sustainable choice, it’s more likely that your florist will be able to get a hold of them and they will be good value for money. From dainty little blooms such as sweet pea to primadonnas such as peonies and dahlias, summertime’s sunshine brings with it a plethora of beautiful varieties. Our selection of preferred florists and stylists would love to get brainstorming and popping summer inspiration on a Pinterest board for you.

Guests can take a stroll around the long grass meadow in front of the pavilion and enjoy drinks on the terrace under the twinkling festoon lights before dancing the night away. Evening food trucks are a fun addition to the night; be it from pizza vans, hog roasts or street food and can be parked right next to the pavilion for easy access during those mid-dance floor munchies.
