Winter

Gold dusted canapés , Christmas trees laden with twinkling lights, mulled wine, rich colour palettes and oh so many candles.

There is nothing more magical than a winter wedding and the house lends itself perfectly to a super cosy atmosphere. With plenty of guest parking at the front of the house why not line the front steps with lanterns or miniature trees. Pylewell will provide a large Christmas tree for the front hall and plenty of logs to keep the fires roaring. The drawing room can be used for the ceremony or to give the option of drinks and canapés in the main house. We love an oyster shucking station in the drawing room and Warming Winter canapés ; mini Yorkshire puds, trays of mini bloody mary’s and festive nibbles. Let your guests enjoy some live music or carols in the house to celebrate the festive season.

Follow the twinkling festoon lights out to the pavilion where you are welcome to add more Christmas trees and masses of candles. The pavilion has heating so your guests will be sure to stay toasty throughout the meal and you are welcome to use our firepits for warming up the terrace.

Winter styling can be wild, leafy, dramatic and festive. We love seeing our chandeliers piled high with mistletoe and ribbon or perhaps low arrangements on the table stuffed with berries, holly, velvety red roses, pine cones or eucalyptus.

Feasting tables and sharing boards are an informal but lovely winter offering, whether it be mezze boards, a full-on roast or beef welly. We love cheese tables, espresso martini stations and dessert tables for guests to pop over to throughout the night when taking a break from dancing.

Why not add a sparkler exit for a fun end to the night for the bride and groom?
