Head of Pylewell Park Weddings & Events

Mel looks after our team here at Pylewell Park. She launched Pylewell as a weddings and events business 3 years ago with the support of the other directors and it has been a whirlwind ever since the word go! From overseeing the build of our pavilion back in 2018 to managing our first year of weddings in 2019 and most recently working with the team to refurbish the house before the next wedding season began, it’s been busy!

Voted as one of ’30 under 30’ stars of the hospitality industry by The Caterer magazine, Mel is a huge hospitality enthusiast with over 10 years experience working in the luxury boutique sector for a number of award-winning chefs, restaurants and hotels. Lymington is now home and Mel is very involved in all our weddings and events here at Pylewell as well as overseeing the team. When not at Pylewell you will find her out on the water, or in the forest with her black Labrador, Biddy. She has also recently had a baby so you may find her running around Pylewell with a baby in tow!

Wedding and Event Team

Nicole works in our events office and is often the first point of contact for visitors or new enquiries here at Pylewell.

She brings an array of event experience with her with over 7 years in the industry and is detail obsessed, ridiculously organised, mad about events and a super list maker.

Wedding and Events Team

Aby has recently graduated from Winchester University top of the class studying Events Management and we are thrilled she has joined our wedding and events team here at Pylewell. 

An events superstar in the making, Aby is incredibly enthusiastic about weddings with an amazing attention to detail. She is huge support role to the team here at Pylewell always going above and beyond to ensure our team are fully prepped and ready to go on event days.

Often one of your first points of call when enquiring she will welcome you with warm hospitality, show you around and share lots of weddings top tips and ideas.

Robert

Groundsman

Robert is our full-time gardener and has been with Pylewell for over 22 years, seeing much of the Roper-Curzon family grow up around him. Responsible for perfect stripes on the lawn on wedding days and keeping on top of the house gardens as well as the estate, Robert is kept very busy here at Pylewell.

He is a fountain of knowledge about the house and gardens and would be delighted to suggest suitable areas for foraging or sourcing foliage to add to your wedding flowers. He loves old machinery and can often be found on his old Dennis lawnmower creating perfect lawns, generally making the gardens look wonderful, or relaxing down by the lake – one of his favourite spots at Pylewell.

Night porter

Mike is our amazing night porter who makes sure the end of your night finishes without a hitch. From lighting firepits, checking on your guests, house security or helping arrange last minute taxis for those London guests who thought they could Uber home! He will welcome you back to the house at the end of the night and ensure you have everything you need for the last drink of the night in the study. He looks after our guests with warm hospitality and nothing is ever too much trouble.

 When not working, he is a keen fisherman and enjoys looking after his menagerie of pets at home!

Rupert

Pylewell Estate Manager

Rupert is our estate manager and also one of the directors of the events business here at Pylewell. He looks after all things on the ground across our 1500 acre estate and you may also meet him on weddings days. A published author and award winning script writer he has also worked in hospitality for years. Rupert lives here on the estate at Pylewell and when not working  loves being out on the water sailing.
