The House

Pylewell House has recently had an extensive refurbishment and you will find 13 individually designed bedrooms boasting an array of eclectic British design. Downstairs rooms are more traditional to the era of the house with many reception rooms originally designed by Colefax and Fowler.

The house has a 3 bedroom penthouse apartment with a private roof terrace, 10 main en suite bedrooms on the first floor and downstairs you will find the hall, morning room, study, drawing and dining room. There is also an old basement floor which was once the servant quarters.

Gardens

Head up the long sweeping driveway lined with overhanging trees, past the cricket pitch and arrive at the beautiful Pylewell House. Head through to the formal house gardens with a walled balustrade, tennis court leading onto the South Park. Amble through 58 acres of private flat parkland down to the private access beach with views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

Our permanent marquee is tucked discreetly round the side of the house providing power, loos, kitchen, wifi and a large storage area for any kit or an office space.

Pylewell Estate and
outbuildings

Take a short walk from the house down through the meandering woodland paths to reach Pylewell Lake. 15 acres of glorious water framed by acres of rhodedenrums and azaleas.

Dotted across the estate you will find an old walled garden, Victorian greenhouses, a dairy, forge, blacksmith shop, stable yard and old mill building.

Yes, Pylewell House has 13 unique bedrooms and a 3-bedroom penthouse apartment available for cast and crew accommodation. For larger productions, we can also recommend nearby hotels in the New Forest area.

Yes, drone filming is permitted with prior approval. We ask that all drone operators hold the appropriate CAA certification and provide insurance documentation in advance.

Do you allow vehicle access and large equipment on site?

Yes. The estate has multiple access roads suitable for large vehicles and equipment. We also have designated hard-standing areas and discreet spaces for unit bases and storage.
