The wedding of Emma and Eochy
- WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PYLEWELL?
Emma first found out about Pylewell about 5 years ago when Google searched “the most romantic UK Christmas wedding venues”, and on our first visit to Pylewell, we both knew that it was going to be the venue for us! Pylewell is not only an incredibly beautiful venue, it is welcoming, relaxed, and it very much becomes a couple’s “home” for the wedding weekend!
The team at Pylewell welcomed us on our first visit with open arms, and we quickly realised that nothing was going to be too much trouble and no idea was going to be too wacky! Pylewell were very much with us every step of the way, helping us to pick our wedding suppliers, helping us come up with ideas for the weekend and ensuring that the venue was filled with as many Christmas trees as possible in keeping with Emma’s festive dream!

- TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
Where do we start? For Emma, it has to be the flash mob that Eochy and Emma’s family arranged where all guests started singing “When Emma Falls in Love” during the Reception!
For Eochy, it was seeing Emma walk down the aisle! Nicole ensured the day ran smoothly and to time and went the extra mile to ensure that our guitarist and singer could stand next to the Christmas tree by running extension cords around the house(!) so that the aisle moment was just as we had imagined!
- TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
Our vision was simple: a beautiful and elegant, candle-filled table-scape, and the marquee exceeded every one of our expectations! We did a “first reveal” with our photographer and videographer, and when we walked in, Emma just kept remarking that it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen! Pylewell is an incredible venue for so many reasons, but the marquee is such a perfect blank canvas for any couple to make their own and, for us, the dream was to turn the space into a romantic, festive, relaxed space and our suppliers delivered (expertly recommended by Pylewell!)

Honestly, only thank you! You are all fantastic(!), and you answered every question we had expertly. You helped our Christmas dreams come true (says Emma!), and every single member of the team is as helpful, lovely and wonderful as the next! In relation to a few special shout-outs:
- Thank you to Aby’s mum for running breakfast so expertly and just being such a lovely, friendly face around the house;
- Thank you to Nicole for keeping me so calm in the morning, making sure the day ran smoothly, and generally just helping us over the weekend!;
- Thank you to Aby for helping me with every question that I have had in the run-up to the day!
- And thank you to Mel and Liz for also being there over the weekend, for helping the riff-raff be in the right place at the right time(!) and for generally helping the whole thing run smoothly!
The night before dinner was also a masterpiece, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Seeing all of your faces as I walked down the stairs before the ceremony was a delight, and you are all just fabulous – thank you!
- WHAT’S YOUR TOP TIP FOR ANY FUTURE PYLEWELL COUPLE?
First of all, just book it(!) as Pylewell is the best venue we could have ever dreamt of, and the Team are just wonderful. After that, we really would recommend organising a night-before supper in the house for your bridal party to relax as that kicked off our wedding weekend in the best possible way.
Oh, and brides, get a champagne, pyjama photo in the bathtub!
