- WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PYLEWELL?
I have always been a little bit obsessed with Pylewell, growing up in Lymington, I would visit when I was little and admire the house from the outside, amazed by it’s slightly magical and eccentric feel! Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to work at Pylewell as a wedding stationery supplier and my love affair with the venue has grown even more. We love the fact that the house is totally majestic, without being overwhelmingly big, so it really does feel like it’s your home for the weekend. The memories I have of our family and friends being so excited to explore the rooms in the house our some of our favourites. This was a big factor in our decision to choose Pylewell, knowing that we’d be able to stretch the celebrations from Friday night dinner to Sunday breakfast! This also provided some extra fun styling opportunities too as I couldn’t resist another table to jazz up for the friday night!
- TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
Our ceremony was the most memorable part of our day. Aby and the team really helped to calm our nerves and give us the headspace we needed to take in the moment. The ceremony room inside the house was magic, everyone was really packed in which we absolutely loved, it felt like a big hug from all our family and friends! We chose really personal songs and wrote our own vows. I was so nervous to speak in front of everyone, but now it’s our favourite memory from the day. There are so many beautiful spaces to get married at Pylewell, we were spoiled for choice, but making the most of using the house meant that all our guests were able to see Pylewell’s beautiful interiors too.
- TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
The styling and florals were such a huge part of the day, we had so much fun planning them! Working with my lovely friends at Nudo Blooms, we were able to put together a zesty pastel scheme that was super modern, but filled with scalloped edges and ruffles and bows! Which, I hope, was super on-trend. We went for ghost chairs, clear white-rimmed charger plates and ribbed glassware with gold and white cutlery from The White Chair Company, which all blended beautifully to allow the super modern blooms to sing! Walking into the marquee to see the finished result from Nudo was just the most amazing moment, and it exceeded all expectations! They worked so hard for us. It was such a special space and with the disco ball spinning, it felt like magic. Outside, we loved loved the styled pink bar for the drinks reception, scalloped umbrellas and velvet sofas, which brought LA vibes to the beautiful English backdrop, I think the juxtaposition was really cool!

I can’t thank the team at Pylewell enough. They are such a lovely group of people that genuinely care and get excited about your big day. They make you feel totally at home, getting to know all your loved ones to make sure everyone is so well looked after. Some of my favourite memories of the day are spent with Aby and the lovely team. There were so many touches that made us feel like little VIPs! My beautiful breakfast and glasses of fizz brought up to the room in the morning, lovely calligraphy on the mirrors when we got back to our room congratulating us as a new Mr & Mrs, they’re all little touches that we’ll remember forever. I only wish we could do it all again!

- WHAT’S YOUR TOP TIP FOR ANY FUTURE PYLEWELL COUPLE?
I would just encourage any nearlyweds to make all their wedding decisions based totally on what they love, not what they think they should choose for a wedding, so that it stays true to you as a couple! Then try to enjoy every second, it’s so true that it goes by in a flash!
