WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PYLEWELL?
Aside from it being so incredibly beautiful, Pylewell was a blend of all the things we wanted in a wedding venue. The gorgeous grounds and gardens to enjoy as well as access to the entire house for the whole wedding celebration!
We had been to many venues where we had to compromise on one or the other, so Pylewell was an immediate attraction having both of these. It really felt like a giant slumber party the night before the wedding with all our friends in the house!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
There are so many to choose from! I think one of the top was during our first dance where we looked around and realised how lucky we were to have all our friends and family around us as we celebrated the best day ever. We also got a beautiful ‘golden hour’ after our meal and walking around with our lovely photographer having an espresso martini taking in all the views of Pylewell grounds was pretty special!
TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
Absolutely did it! We wanted a ‘wild garden’ vibe to our floral arrangements (which Kemlo&Kemlo nailed!), so we wanted lots of colourful flowers and greenery. The birch trees we had between the tables also really helped bring the feeling to life and made it look beautiful. We had grown all the flowers in the bud vases on the tables ourselves so it was really special to have a touch of our own garden with us too. The Pavilion is such a great space as you really can transform it into anything you want, what looked like a blank canvas to start with became our personal vision so quickly.

The Pylewell team were absolutely fabulous. Aby was so helpful in the whole run up to the wedding answering the millions of questions we had, and we felt so looked after the whole time. The team on the day made everything so seamless, whether it was breakfast being delivered to the bridal suite, Anna-Lisa welcoming guests after the ceremony, Nicole magically appearing to take my veil as soon as I removed it or Mike the night porter assisting with guests getting transport at the end of the night. We couldn’t have asked for more from them and so thankful for their help. The little black book of suppliers is a gold mine and we loved using local suppliers in the area that knew and loved the venue. It was like a group of friends all reuniting on the wedding morning because everyone knows everyone so well!
WHAT’S YOUR TOP TIP FOR ANY FUTURE PYLEWELL COUPLE?
Everyone has no doubt heard it a million times before but the day really does go by so fast, just remember to look around at gorgeous Pylewell filled with everyone you love and think ‘this is really happening!!”. We wish we could do it all again a million times over!
