Pylewell was everything we were looking for and more! We wanted somewhere that felt private and special, with gorgeous grounds, character and, of course, those incredible sea views. From the moment we arrived, we just knew. The house was beautiful and gave us the opportunity to have our nearest and dearest all together in one place, which was so important to us.
What really set Pylewell apart was the team and the flexibility they offered. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and every question we asked seemed to be met with a “yes”! It never felt like we were being sold a set wedding package; instead, we felt we could really make the day our own and shape it into exactly what we wanted it to be.
We had absolutely no doubts after our viewing that Pylewell was the one. Looking back, it was genuinely one of the best decisions we made, and we couldn’t imagine having celebrated our wedding anywhere else!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
The ceremony has to be the most memorable moment. Seeing each other at the end of the aisle, with the strings playing, the most beautiful grounds around us and all our favourite people there to watch us get married, was just incredible. It’s hard to explain that feeling, but I remember finally reaching the end of the aisle and thinking how special it was that we were all there together. It was everything we had hoped it would be.
Another special moment was when we had our couples pictures in the gardens, which gave us a chance to pause, take it all in and watch our guests enjoying themselves from afar. People were lying out on the lawns, wandering down towards the sea and enjoying cocktail hour, and it honestly looked like something out of a movie! It was so lovely to take a step back and see everyone enjoying the day we had spent so long planning. The whole thing felt a bit surreal, in the best possible way, and those little moments together are something we’ll always remember.
Also – the party to top all parties at the end of the night!! There was a moment that we were on our friends shoulder, looking out at everyone just having the time of their lives and it was just incredible. So much joy all around us!!
TELL US YOUR VISION FOR THE MARQUEE AND STYLING? DID IT LIVE UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
We wanted the marquee to feel romantic, timeless and really magical, and it absolutely lived up to our expectations! One of the best decisions we made was having the lovely Sarah do our draping. It completely transformed the space and created the most beautiful, soft and romantic atmosphere. It brought everything together exactly as we’d imagined and made the marquee feel so special. The candles were another favourite of ours; they created such a gorgeous, warm glow and really set the mood as the evening went on.

I honestly cannot praise the Pylewell team enough. They created the most wonderful environment for us to have the most special and magical weekend, one that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
The day before the wedding, having our final meeting and talking everything through was such a reminder of how exceptional the team are. They think of absolutely everything, and you can tell how much care goes into making sure everything is just right. That gave us so much confidence going into the day itself.
On the wedding day, we barely saw the team, and I mean that in the best possible way! Everything just happened seamlessly in the background, with the Pylewell team working so brilliantly alongside our lovely suppliers. We never felt like we needed to worry about a single thing, which meant we could be completely present and enjoy every moment.
The whole morning was also so calm and relaxed across the house and grounds. We were able to take our time getting ready, spend time with our favourite people and really soak it all in, without ever feeling rushed or crowded. So much was happening behind the scenes, but we were able to enjoy the morning knowing everything was being taken care of.
Our guests are still telling us what an incredible day it was, and that says everything. Pylewell gave us the freedom to create a wedding that felt completely like us, while making the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. We will always be so grateful to the team for that!
